Brazil & China are on top !
A growing number of countries are “building facilities using renewable energy technologies.”
Jobs are concentrated in a few countries, including China, Brazil, the United States, India, as well as in some nations of the European Union. Beijing is the lion’s share, accounting for 39% of positions.
Largely thanks to photovoltaic energy
Solar photovoltaic and wind power remain the most promising sectors. Photovoltaics has retained its position as the leading employer with a third of the posts (3.6 million).
Countries in Southeast Asia have managed to gain a foothold in this field alongside China and “are now among the largest exporters of solar photovoltaic panels”.
