Aims of this energy-climate law, for the energy transition

• achieve carbon neutrality in 2050,
• reduce the consumption of fossil fuels by 40% by 2030,
• close the last four French coal plants in 2022,
• reduce the share of nuclear electricity to 50% in 2035.

The thermal strainers

As part of the energy transition, the energy-climate law also evokes thermal sieves. The owners of dwellings F and G will have to carry out renovations to reach at least class E in 2028, and 2033 for condominiums in difficulty.

The final vote is expected in September 2019.
